Fermented Carrots For Gut Health

Fermented carrots in a salt, dill and caper brine πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•

A gut healthy food that packs a great tasty punch! This is great on sandwich and salads, even just snacking on them was tasty.

Why fermented carrots? Because PROBIOTICS! There are many ways to get great natural probiotics, certain cheeses, yogurts, kimchi, kiefer, and kombucha. But most people don’t talk about making at home fermented foods and it’s so easy!

Have you ever fermented any veggies?

How to ferment any veggie:

In 2 cup of water and and mix in 4 tsp of sea salt and allow it to sit with a loose lid for 2 days.

On day 3, slice carrots into fine strips with a veggie peeler.

In a new Mason jar add capers, dill and carrots to the top, then add in the salt water brine to the top.

Allow the mixture to sit in a dark area for 5 days with a loose lid.

The water inside May spill over and have some bubbles, that’s good, that’s the fermentation happening. Then enjoy!
